CHOCOLATE MAKING WORKSHOPS

I have been running chocolate making workshops across Edinburgh for the last 12 years; offering small private groups and parties the chance to deepen their understanding (and love!) for the art of chocolate making, pick up some 'trade secrets' and craft their own chocolates and desserts to take home.

​

WHO ARE THEY FOR?

​

Great for groups of up to 20; I have hosted workshops for hen parties, family activity days, tourists visiting Edinburgh, birthday parties, celebration events and more.

​

WHERE ARE THEY HELD?

​

I work with a number of venues across Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling, Aberdeen and other locations by arrangement.
From hotels to events spaces.

DO I NEED TO BE GOOD AT COOKING?

​

Not at all! All ingredients and equipment are provided - as well as step-by-step practical help and guidance. The benefit of being a small, private groups is that there is plenty of time and attention for each individual to hone their skills and ask questions. All you need to bring along is an appetite for chocolate and a willingness to get a little messy!

WHAT DOES A CHOCOLATE MAKING WORKSHOP INVOLVE?

​

In a fun, informal setting we will learn more about the alchemy of chocolate, its origins, flavour notes (there are more than just 'delicious'!) and master some chocolate making techniques to enable you to recreate your own recipes at home.

​

To give you an idea of how a workshop is run, here is an example itinerary of my 2-hour 'Introduction to Chocolate' class:

​

  • Introduction.

  • Sampling cocoa beans, cocoa butter and a selection of fine couvertures.

  • Ganache making demonstration.

  • Chocolate making demonstration.

  • Hands-on making of three different styles of chocolates.

  • Chocolate fondue.

  • Gift wrapping of your goodies to take home.

FROM £27 per person including VENUE HIRE, ALL EQUIPMENT AND INGREDIENTS.

​

FURTHER CLASS TOPICS INCLUDE WINE AND CHOCOLATE PAIRING, MACARON MAKING AND ADVANCED CHOCOLATE TECHNIQUES. Please enquire for more details on other workshops available.
